Schilderen met olieverf heb ik geleerd in de schildersgroep van Nancy Slangen aan de Pentagoon Academie in Tongeren (B). Tijdens mijn opleiding daar heb ik allerlei onderwerpen, technieken en stijlen uitgeprobeerd. Uiteindelijk ontdekte ik naar welke onderwerpen mijn voorkeur uitging en in welke stijlen en technieken ik mij het best kan uiten – een resultaat waarop in feite de hele opleiding was gericht.
Verreweg de meeste studies die ik gedurende mijn opleiding heb gemaakt, heb ik niet in deze website opgenomen. Wel mijn eindexamenwerk vindt u onder het hoofdstuk ‘Searching for…’ op de hierna volgende pagina’s terug. Plus alle thema’s die ik na mijn eindexamen heb uitgediept. Dit zijn tot dusver voornamelijk landschappen, maar ook stillevens.

Painting in oil I learned in the classes of Nancy Slangen at the Pentagoon Academy in Tongeren (B). During my education there I tried all sorts of subjects, techniques and painting styles. In the end I found out what suited me most to express myself – a result which was the main objective of the education.

The works that I made during mij education you will not find on this website.  Just the works I made for my final exams I included in this site (see ‘the chapter ‘Searching for’. I built up this site mainly around the themes that I chose and  investigated after finishing my studies. So far, these themes concern mainly landscapes, but also still life.
